1. Overview
EllyTools (ellytools.com, "the site", "we") handles information as described below. The site has no accounts or sign-in, and most tools handle no personal information at all.
2. Files and text you put into tools stay on your device
Converters (image, PDF, video, text), calculators and the other tools run inside your browser. The files and text you give them are not sent to or stored on our servers.
Some tools download public resources they need β fonts, text-recognition and background-removal models, program files, exchange rates, flag images β from outside servers. As with any web request, those servers receive your IP address and browser details, but never your files or what you typed. The main providers are jsDelivr, Google Fonts, IMG.LY, and Frankfurter and ExchangeRate-API for currency rates.
3. What we handle and why

Please do not put your real name, phone number or other identifying details in the chat or calendar. Posts are visible to everyone.
4. Retention and deletion
- Contact messages: kept for one year after we reply, then deleted β immediately if you ask.
- Chat and calendar posts: kept until the author deletes them, or they are removed after reports or by the operator.
- Report records: kept to count reports, and deleted when the operator clears them or you ask.
- Visitor-count records: removed as soon as you leave the page; a record left behind by a dropped connection is cleared when the next visitor arrives.
- Google Analytics data: deleted automatically by Google when the configured retention period (at most 14 months) ends.
Information past its retention period is deleted from the database so that it cannot be recovered.
5. Information kept only in your browser
The site stores some things on your own device (the browser's local storage): language, tool settings and recent history, your chat nickname, and the key that lets you delete your own posts. These never leave your device, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or give your personal information to third parties, except where the law requires us to disclose it to authorities through due process.
7. Service providers and international transfers
The following providers process information on our behalf, on servers in the United States. If you do not want your information transferred, do not use the contact form, chat or calendar, and block cookies.

8. Cookies and advertising
The site uses cookies for visitor statistics and advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Every tool keeps working with cookies blocked.
9. Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop us processing it. Write through the contact page or to the email below and we will act within 10 days and tell you the result. You can also delete your own chat and calendar posts from the browser you posted them with.
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you also have the rights to data portability, to object, to withdraw consent and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know, to delete and to non-discrimination; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
The site is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Security
- All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Database rules let only the administrator read contact messages, and the admin area is protected by a password and two-factor authentication.
- Chat and calendar posts can only be deleted with the author's key.
