Barcode Generator: 1D Codes for Products, Inventory, and Tickets
While QR codes get the spotlight, traditional 1D barcodes still run retail, logistics, and inventory worldwide. This generator creates the major barcode types — Code128, EAN, UPC, ITF — for printing or digital use.
Barcodes were standardized in the 1970s and now exist in dozens of variants for different industries. The big ones: UPC-A and EAN-13 for retail products, Code128 for shipping and inventory, ITF for cartons, Code39 for industrial use.
Common 1D barcode types

Extended FAQ
When should I use a barcode vs a QR code?
Barcodes are better for short numeric IDs scanned by laser scanners (retail, warehouses). QR codes are better for arbitrary data, long URLs, and smartphone-based scanning.
Can I get a UPC for my product?
Yes — but you need to register with GS1 (the international body that issues product codes). EllyTools generates the visual barcode; the underlying number must be your registered UPC.
Are my codes stored?
No — runs entirely in your browser.
